Vegas NFL Odds Expert Week 14 Betting Picks

by Thomas Jensen on Saturday, December 8th, 2012

NFL PatchSports-Odds.com spoke with the top Vegas NFL Odds expert analyst earlier today to find out what they are looking for before making their Week 14 betting picks. With the NFL Playoff hunt in full swings, teams are trying to position themselves to earn a birth in the postseason which makes the next couple of weeks critical for bettors looking to cash in on the action.

“The last month of the NFL regular season is all about motivation,” stated NFL Odds expert Robert Ferringo of Doc’s Sports Advisory Board. “There are certain teams that are ready to just mail it in and there are certain teams that are really getting hot right now. You have to get a read on which is which for the non-playoff teams and bet them according to that rather than match-ups.“

Robert Ferringo has been on a hot streak with for a little over a month with 4 of 5 winning NFL weeks for $3,000 in profit and a 7-Unit NFL Game of the Year win last week with Denver. Robert has a 6-Unit NFL Game of the Month this week and is hitting 67.3 percent of his plays of 5.0 or higher in all sports this year.

Ferringo went on to say: “San Francisco is a really tough team to gauge right now. They are just 3-4 ATS in their last seven games and I still say that win at New Orleans is a little fluky because of their defensive touchdowns. The team is still working through the quarterback change – which, say what you want about the two QBs, a switch at that position at any time is going to send ripples out in the locker room – and they are one of the biggest public teams on the board right now. We know this team is good. But can they keep beating big numbers? They have two huge games on deck, at New England and at Seattle, and I wonder where their focus will be this weekend.”

The Vegas Odds makers have the San Francisco 49ers -10.5 point home favorites against the Miami Dolphins with the Total set at OVER/UNDER 39 points.

“The Vegas NFL betting public got crushed last week as everybody either had the 49ers or the Niners in a parlay,” stated NFL Odds expert the Vegas Sports Informer on Doc’s Sports Advisory Board. “Two straight winning weekends in the Vegas books and this weekend will be important with some heavy betting. It is also a fight weekend, and when that happens during football season it usually brings big money in Vegas. This weekend will be a long weekend for the Vegas book workers like myself.”

The Vegas Odds makers have the New York Giants -4.5 point home favorites against the New Orleans Saints with the Total set at OVER/UNDER 53 points. The money lines show New York -225 odds and New Orleans +185 odds road dogs.

Here is what Robert Ferringo had to say about potential Week 14 Betting Picks on the early Sunday games: “San Diego and Carolina are two teams that I think are ready to just mail it in. The Chargers are one loss away from being out of the playoffs completely and they know they have a lame duck coach. This team isn’t very good to begin with. Now that you remove most of their motivation to play the bottom should just completely fall out. In Carolina, the issues are many. The rumors are that no one like Cam Newton, which I can completely see. The guy is a jerk and he is vastly overrated. This is another young team that entered the season a little delusional. Remember: just two years ago they only won two games. But the coaching staff doesn’t fit together well and I expect plenty of off-season changes. With everyone looking out for themselves I don’t see a team that will hold up over the last month of the year. I don’t care who is at quarterback for the Jets – that team is awful. Their roster is just devoid of talent outside a few key spots. They have a decent system, which is actually a credit to the much-maligned Rex Ryan, but this just isn’t a good football team. This roster is subpar, at best. I don’t know how much I trust them as a road favorite this weekend.”

The Vegas Odds makers have the San Diego Chargers +9 point road dogs against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Carolina Panthers +3.5 point home dogs against the Atlanta Falcons and the New York Jets -3 point road favorites against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Here is what Vegas Sports Informer had to say about potential Week 14 Betting Picks on the late afternoon games: “The game that I believe is the best on the board Sunday is the New Orleans Saints at the New York Giants. The Giants are coming off a road Monday night loss to the Redskins and the Saints are coming off a loss from the Atlanta Falcons. This matchup will be between the Saints offense versus the Giants defense and no matter what happens in this game this will be a close battle. I’m excited to see Drew Brees against Eli Manning but I believe the team that can stop the big plays threw the air wins this game”

Vegas Sports Informer has had a profitable football season and Sunday he looks to cash his strong 6-Unit NFL Play. College Bowl season is coming soon (Dec 15) and he will have bowl plays in all 35 Bowl Games including a 8-Unit Bowl Game of the Year.
