2016 NFL Schedule Week 17 & Betting Odds

The 2016 NFL Schedule Week 17 will close the book on what has been a wild season and it will also solidify a playoff picture that still has numerous possibilities. While the AFC field is set, seeding remains a conundrum. The latest NFL betting odds from Bovada.lv like the Patriots and Chiefs to secure the top two seeds, though, favoring them at -9.5 and -5 opposite the Dolphins and Chargers, respectively.

In the NFC, the Falcons are expected to grab the two seed behind No. 1 Dallas. Atlanta is lined as a -7 home favorite over division rival New Orleans.

Should Oakland win in Denver, the Raiders will remain the two seed, but with Derek Carr out, Jack Del Rio’s squad is drawing a +1.5 line against the fading Broncos. If both the Raiders and Chiefs were to fall, Oakland would win the AFC West title and retain its current spot in the AFC postseason hierarchy.

Miami could really stir the pot with an upset of the Pats. A Dolphins victory coupled with an Oakland win and a Kansas City loss would vault the Raiders to the one seed, the Patriots to the two seed and the Chiefs to the six seed.

Regardless of what takes place this weekend, Pittsburgh and Houston will remain the AFC’s three and four seeds, respectively. The Steelers are a -6 home favorite over the Browns while the Texans are laying three points at Tennessee, where they are 5-2 straight up and 6-1 against the spread since 2009.

The NFC playoff picture is more convoluted, but if the games go according to odds maker projections, Seattle, Green Bay, New York and Washington will round out the field as the three, four, five and six seeds, respectively.

The Seahawks are a -9.5 road favorite at San Francisco, the Packers are a -3.5 Sunday Night Football favorite at Detroit and the Redskins are a -8 home favorite over the Giants.

2016 NFL Schedule Week 17 Betting Trends:

The Eagles are 1-5 both straight up and against the spread in their last six games playing as a home favorite against the Cowboys.

The Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings between the Raiders and Broncos.

The Lions are 1-6 both straight up and against the spread in their last seven games playing as a home underdog to the Packers.
