Chip Reese was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 28, 1951. His untimely death in December of 2007 was mourned by many of the top poker players in the world period. Chip Reese was a graduate from Dartmouth with a degree in economics. On his way to get a law 
degree at Stanford, he stopped off in Las Vegas to play in a poker tournament where he won $60,000. By the time he would have started his classes at Stanford, he has won over $100,000. This life changing summer caused Chip Reese to never leave Las Vegas. As his reputation as a cash player grew, so did his skill at running a casino poker room.
