With the World Series of Poker in full swing, many poker fans would like to see Steve Dannemann win a 2008 WSOP bracelet. Steve Dannenmann was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1966 and is best known for being the runner-up in the 2005 WSOP Main Event where he won $4.25 million. This year as the WSOP 2008 taking place, Dannenmann. Get all of your 2008 WSOP odds now at Bodoglife.com.

Interestingly enough, his friend, Jerry Ditzel, also enjoyed a huge payday that day. It seems he split the $10,000 entry fee 50/50 with Dannenmann, so when the new poker player took 2nd place, he split the winnings 50/50 with his friend. That's just one story behind Dannenmann's personality though. So respected has he become with his fellow players and fans alike that on one forum, fans suggest nicknames for the CPA from Maryland. Two of those suggestions are "Gentleman Jack" Dannenmann and "Everyman" Dannenmann.

Will Steve Dannenmann contended again for a WSOP bracelet?Whether he wins or loses, Steve Dannenmann does act the gentleman. Actually, he makes it clear that he's already a winner and enjoys the life he's carved out for himself. When asked if he would be quitting his day job after his WSOP win, Dannenmann made it clear that he would not be giving up his work as a CPA, financial planner and mortgage loan officer in the firm he built from scratch.  The truth is, he enjoys his work.

Dannenmann admits to being superstitious and will only ride in taxis that end in the number "8".  Another superstition kept his wife from watching him play and win the main event at the 2005 WSOP. It seems that because she wasn't in attendance the first day, he did not want to change anything and allow her to watch on succeeding days.

Steve Dannenmann is married and has one step-son.  When he's not playing poker or working at his firm, he enjoys working on home improvement projects at his home in Severn, Maryland.
