With May 1st out of reach for Caracortado (Cat Dreams – Mons Venus by Maria’s Mon), I’m sure trainer Michael Machowsky will be getting his colt ready for the Preakness Stakes. Caracortado brings in a 2009-2010 record of 2-0-1 out of a total of four starts. His graded stakes earnings are listed at $153,000.
Caracortado started 2010 with a 1st place finish in the Robert B. Lewis-G2 in February. He then brought in a 3rd place finish in the San Felipe-G2 and his last race resulted with a 4th place finish in the Santa Anita Derby-G1 all out of the sand course in Santa Anita Park, CA with jockey Paul Atkinson.
