Should he bring a surprise to onlookers, trainer Alexis Barba would be the first female trainer to win the 1st leg of the Triple Crown.
Barba added that she entered the Make Music For Me in the March 6th Pasadena Stakes versus listening to the suggestions that she race the colt in a graded race to boost earnings, "The journey takes its course. You have a plan and you stick with it. You can’t make it happen," Barba said. "I wanted a softer spot to run in to build his confidence."
