2010 Kentucky Derby Odds Line Of David 30 to 1 Derby Picks: Line Of David trainer John Sadler isn’t giving away any hints on what’s he’s been doing with the colt when it comes the horses last three 1st place wins. Go to SPORTSBOOK.com to get all of the current betting odds on all of your Kentucky Derby favorites.
Coming in 30 to 1 odds, Line of David will take the 5th post start at the 2010 Kentucky Derby. John Sadler wasn’t sure how the colt would handle the turf surfaces of the February MSW and the March Allowance but was calmed to see he had a winner on his hands after Line of David took 1st in both races. He then gave the Ike and Dawn Thrash owned colt a chance on a dirt surface in the Arkansas Derby-G1 in which he also finished 1st by a neck.
“We knew we had a talented horse and we wanted to give him a try on the dirt,” Line of David trainer John Sadler said.
Jockey Rafael Bejarano who led the colt in the MSW and Allowance 1st place finishes will ride line of David in the Run for the Roses. Trainer John Sadler did admit that Monday morning practice with the colt didn’t turn out well and is hoping that clearer weather along with better track conditions will turn out for the May 1st race. He ran 6 furlongs in 1:15 over a muddy track.
"He didn't really like the racetrack," Sadler added after practice. "He didn't really grab it that great."
