Denis of Cork has a pedigree that is built for endurance but his track speed has been lower than most of the Kentucky Derby entries. Denis of cork is coming off sub-par performance in the Illinois Derby which is usually a bad sign heading into the run for the roses.
Once projected as a blue-chip thoroughbred, Denis of Cork has been an underachiever and will have a difficult time keeping up with the more talented Derby Contenders.
