Portland Trail Blazers vs Orlando Magic NBA Picks: The Trail Blazers are (3-3) on a two game winning streak after a win on 97-93 at home to Minnesota. LaMarcus Aldridge had 24 points and 12 rebounds, Brandon Roy added 24 points and nine assists, and the Blazers improved to 3-0 at the Rose Garden. Nice to see the Blazers close out a back-to-back at home. I've been saying that Aldridge is a future all-star. Give him two years. He's not showy, he just goes about his business. He releases high like Rasheed Wallace without the self-destructive temper. There is no question he needs to get much tougher, but he's progressing very, very well. The sports odds posted by the oddsmakers at BetUS.com currently list Orlando Magic -7 favorites to Portland Trail Blazers heading into this matchup.

Active Image"We're going to do all we can to protect our home court," Roy said. "Every game so far has come down to the wire."

The Magic are (4-2) on a four game winning streak after a win Saturday Night 106-81 over Washington. Dwight Howard leading the charge with 31 points and 16 rebounds. The Magic never trailed, opening with a pair of 3-pointers from Pietrus and Hedo Turkoglu. They led 58-39 at halftime after shooting 59 percent. After losing two games to start the season, Orlando has rattled off four wins in a row (3-1 ATS), all at home. The online sports betting odds at BetUS.com has the OVER/UNDER in this Portland Trail Blazers vs Orlando Magic game is set at 192 points.

"When those guys spread the floor, it just give me more room around the basket, allows me to do more things," Howard said. "It makes it easier for me when it's not so cluttered."

NBA Picks: The Blazers are 5-1 ATS in their last six after a non-cover but otherwise they are on ATS slides of 1-4 on the road, 3-8 after a straight-up win and 7-19 on Mondays. Orlando has defeated Portland four straight times, including both meetings last season. The Blazers haven't won in Orlando since an 89-83 victory on Nov. 24, 2004. Portland has gone over the total in four of its last five games, but otherwise the under for the Blazers is on streaks of 8-2 on the road. Favorite is 4-1-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings. Under is 9-3-1 in the last 13 meetings.

NBA Picks: Toronto Raptors vs Boston Celtics PDF Print E-mail

NBA Picks Toronto Raptors (4-2) vs. Boston Celtics (6-1): This Eastern Conference Atlantic Divisional matchup between the first place, Boston Celtics, against second place, Toronto Raptors, can be seen live Monday night on NBAtv, beginning at 7:30 PM ET (4:30 PM PT). Much like last season, the C’s have been unstoppable at home thus far, with a 3-0 mark. Meanwhile the much-improved Raptors are 2-1 on the road to this point.

Champion odds makers at BodogLife.com have posted the following Sports Odds for this NBA Picks: Toronto Raptors [+9 (-115)] vs. Boston Celtics [-9 (-105)] tonight.

The defending NBA Champions are picking up right where they left off last season, as they look to extend their winning streak to five games when they host Toronto Monday night at The Garden. The OVER/UNDER for this NBA Picks: Toronto Raptors vs. Boston Celtics, has been set at a combined total of 183 points.

Last season, the Celtics captured an all-time NBA best 17th championship, as defense was their staple all through the regular season (90.3 ppg) and into the playoffs (88.8 ppg). Seven games into the 2008-09 season, the Celtics are allowing just 86.7 ppg and a field-goal percentage defense (.375) that's by far, the best in the league.

In addition, the C’s also possess the best trio in the Eastern Conference with Kevin Garnett (14.6 ppg, 10 rpg, 1.4 apg), Paul Pierce (16.3 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 4 apg) and Ray Allen (14 ppg, 5 rpg, 2.5 apg). Last night, the Celtics put on another dominating performance against conference rivals, Detroit Pistons. Even with their latest acquisition, Allen Iverson, on the floor, Boston limited Detroit to just 34.7% shooting, as a 30-10 second quarter run put the game out of reach. When it was all said and done Boston prevailed by a final score of 88-76. "(The defense was) the best of the year, by far," Celtics coach Doc Rivers said.

Tonight, Boston’s defense will need to be just as good or better, as they host the new twin towers of the East, Chris Bosh (26 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 2.4 apg) and Jermaine O’Neal (10.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 2.2 apg). "My teammates do a great job of finding the open guy," Bosh said. "That's what we're taught to do, and that's where we make our bread and butter. If we see a guy open, we have to get it to him."

New Jersey Nets vs Miami Heat NBA Predictions PDF Print E-mail

New Jersey Nets vs Miami Heat NBA Predictions: The Nets are (2-3) off a road loss 98-80 to Indiana. Guard Devin Harris missed the game because of a sprained left ankle. He had a career-high 38 points Friday night in New Jersey's win over Detroit. New Jersey shot 50 percent in the first half and led 51-49 at the break. Carter scored 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting in the first two quarters. The Nets are terrible, they keep getting worse every season. Vince Carter led New Jersey with 31 points, but the Nets shot 24 percent from the field and managed just 29 points after the break. The sports odds posted by the oddsmakers at BetUS.com currently list Miami Heat -8-5 favorites to New Jersey Nets heading into this matchup.

Active Image"It puts more responsibility on me," Carter said of Harris being out. "But that's no excuse, either. This is a team game, and it's going to take a collective effort to win games.

The Heat (3-3) took the loss Saturday night to New Orleans 100-89 on the road. Dwyane Wade led the way with 30 points on 9-20 shooting. Hopefully the other players on the Heat could wake up and show up for a game, Wade and Haslem seem to be the only ones that show up, but they played bad and hung in this game for basically the whole game against the Hornets who are an elite team. The online sports betting odds at BetUS.com has the OVER/UNDER in this New Jersey Nets vs Miami Heat game is set at 187.5 points.

NBA Predictions: Miami has been soft on the road, but really plays well at home (2-0). Unlike last season, they are healthy with plenty of offensive firepower with Wade and rookie Beasely. The Nets took two of three from the Heat last season. The Heat are averaging near 100 points per game. Heat are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. loss. Road team is 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings. Nets are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Miami.
