NFL Preseason Predictions Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans: After an impressive preseason debut, the new-look Oakland Raiders (1-0) travel to LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee, to take on the Titans (1-0). This week-2 game of the NFL preseason, has a scheduled 8 PM ET kick off and can be seen nationwide on FOX. Tonight, the Tennessee Titans are -4 betting odds favorites against the visiting Oakland Raiders (+4) in week 2 of the 2008 NFL Preseason. Last season, the Oakland Raiders finished with a 4-12 record, which tied them for last place in the AFC West. Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans finished their 2007-2008 regular season with a mark of 10-6, which was 3rd best in the tough AFC South. Even though last season the silver and back finished with the 3rd worse record in the NFL, it was a good 4-12 (if there’s such a thing). As underdogs seemingly in every game, Oakland was able to remain within striking distance the entire year. In the upcoming 2008-2009 NFL season, the Raiders have plenty to look forward to, especially with so many talented young players. On the offensive end of the ball, everything starts and ends with QB JaMarcus Russell. After a long holdout last season, due to contract negotiations, the ex-LSU Tiger basically missed out on an entire season standing in the sidelines. However, this is his team now, and this season everyone is eager to see what the young big man can do. Another player that’s creating lots of excitement out of the Raiders’ camp, is newly acquired (fourth overall pick) RB Darren McFadden. The OVER/UNDER in this NFL Preseason Predictions: Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans is 35 points total. In his collegiate career, McFadden showed incredible versatility at Arkansas rushing for 4,590 yards in 785 attempts (5.8 avg.), and scoring 44 TDs. McFadden also caught 46 passes for 365 yards and 2 TDs. And if that wasn’t enough, McFadden also threw 7 TD passes, and returned a kickoff for 6. In his NFL preseason debut against the 49ers, the Tomlinson-like tailback, rushed for 48 yards in 12 carries (4.0 yards avg). He certainly has a bright future in this league with his size (6’ 2” 210 Lbs), power, and versatility.
