Texas A&M Aggies Big 12 Conference Preview 2008 College Football Predictions: There’s certainly a lot of buzzing going around about first year Texas A&M head coach, Mike Sherman. Last season the Aggies finished with a 7-6 mark, and were 4-4 against the Big XII. It will interesting to see, how long it would take for this team to get accustomed to their new pro style offense. At SBGglobal.com Texas A&M Aggies’ betting odds ML to win the BCS National Championship game this season is +8000.

Key returning players for Texas A&M include: QB Stephen McGee, RB Mike Goodson and Jorvorski Lane, DB Jordan Pugh, DE Cyril Obiozor, and many more.

One of the biggest question marks for coach Sherman will be his star player, QB Stephen McGee; and how will he respond to the new system.

Last season, McGee threw for 2,311 yards, and rushed for 899 yards. Also at SBGglobal.com the Texas A&M Aggies’ betting odds ML to win the Big 12 Conference in 2008 are +800.

It will be interesting to see, what kind of role McGee will have under new management, as they fully intend to use RB Jorvorski Lane (780 yards, 16 TD) frequently. The betting odds ML for Texas A&M Aggies to win OVER 7 games in the upcoming 2008 season is -115.

However, problems may arise on the offensive side of the football for Texas A&M, as 4 of last year’s 5 O-line starters are now gone. Another concern on offense for coach Sherman and offensive coordinator Nolan Cromwell is the wide receivers situation. The betting odds ML for Texas A&M Aggies to win UNDER 7 games in the upcoming 2008 season is -115.

With the exits of WR Kerry Franks and TE Martellus Bennett, that creates some huge issues that need to be addressed before season starts.

College Football Predictions: Kansas Jayhawks Big 12 Conference Preview 2008 PDF Print E-mail

College Football Predictions Kansas Jayhawks Big 12 Conference Preview 2008: 2007 was an incredible season for the Kansas Jayhawks. They finished with an outstanding record of 12-1 (7-1), and the frosting was a 24-21 victory over the Virginia Tech Hokies in the Orange Bowl. This upcoming 2008 season, head coach Mark Mangino (37-36) will show that last season was not a fluke for the Jayhawks. At SBGglobal.com the Kansas Jayhawks betting odds ML to win the BCS National Championship game in 2009 are +3000.

In 2008, the Kansas Jayhawks look to take the next step from last season. Even though they will have some holes to fill this upcoming season, they certainly like their chances.

Once again, the main key for the Jayhawks success will depend on the play of junior QB Todd Reesing. The Kansas Jayhawks betting odds ML to win the Big 12 Conference in 2008 are +600.

Last season, Reesing threw for 3,486 passing yards, 33 touchdowns, and just 7 interceptions. This season, everyone can expect more of the same from Reesing, as he will have some familiar receivers to throw to with the return of Dexton Fields and Dezmon Briscoe. The betting odds ML for the Kansas Jayhawks to win OVER 8 games this upcoming season are +160.

One possible area for concern for the Jayhawks might be: how much protection and how much time would QB Todd Reesing have? Even though the middle of the O-line remains intact (Ryan Cantrell, Chet Hartley, and Adrian Mayes), the departures of (OT) Anthony Collins and Cesar Rodriguez, the line will have some significant voids. Matt Darton, Ian Wolfe, Nathan D’Cunha, and Jeff Spikes will all be competing for those two open spots. The betting odds ML Kansas to win UNDER 8 games this upcoming season are –200.

Brett Favre at Green Bay Packers Training Camp? According to the Associated Press, Brett Favre has told the Green Bay Packers organization that he will indeed be reporting to training camp this weekend. This will of course create mayhem among the players, considering everything that has gone on since it was reported Favre has an “itch” to play… and Favre is counting on that. Who will win the 2008-2009 NFL MVP this upcoming season? BetUS.com has the best probables.

The 3-time MVP, Brett Favre, is hoping that by showing up and creating distractions for the team, this would force the Packers into trading him more promptly.

According to the report, Favre will be requesting his reinstatement with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Friday July 25, 2008. The future Hall of Fame QB also informed Packers’ GM Ted Thompson, that after that, he would be at training camp this weekend. Tom Brady (+300) is the ML betting odds favorite to win the 2008-2009 regular season NFL MVP.

As it is every year, the Green Bay Packers players will soon be moving into their dorms to prepare for the start of the 2008-2009 season. Their first team meeting is scheduled for Sunday morning. Meanwhile, their first full practice session is scheduled for Monday morning. Does this mean Brett could be in another team by Sunday? Peyton Manning (+500) has the second best ML betting odds to win the 2008-2009 regular season NFL MVP.

After Brett Favre announced his retirement from the NFL after last season, the Packers accepted it, and moved on with Aaron Rogers as their projected 2008-2009 starter. Allegedly, Favre has been offered a position with the Packers, but as Rogers’ backup QB. Clearly Favre is not willing to accept that, and hence, wants to be traded. More likely than not, Favre will be shipped out of Green Bay, and it is very possible that he will be calling Tampa Bay, “home” this season. LaDainian Tomlinson (+600) has the third best betting odds to win the 2008-2009 regular season NFL MVP.
