Andy Murray, No. 5 in the ATP men's single rankings, reached the quarterfinals for the sixth time in his last 10 Grand Slam appearances with an impressive win over Jurgen Melzer. Murray bested the 11th ranked Austrian, 6-3, 6-1, 6-1 for his fourth straight sets victory of the tournament. 

The 23 year old London resident hit 13 aces and 30 winners in the match, but he also played a clean game, committing just 10 unforced errors (27 for Melzer).

Murray, who lost to Roger Federer in last year's final, is vying to become the first Brit to win a major since Fred Perry won the U.S. Open in 1936.
