Rafael Nadal vs Ryan Sweeting 2011 BNP Paribas Betting Odds: World No. 1, Rafael Nadal [-500] will be playing his third round of the 2011 BNP Paribas Open on Monday against American, Tennis Odds underdog Ryan Sweeting [+1100] from Stadium 1 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

This will be the Spaniard’s first ATP tournament since the Australian Open, when he injured his right leg during a quarterfinals match against David Ferrer. But Nadal is back and has recently helped his country win its first round Davis Cup tie against Belgium.

On Saturday from Indian Wells, California, Nadal defeated Rik De Voest 6-0, 6-2 in just 60 minutes. It was a straight sets win for the top-seed and concluded the match with just two games lost. But his game was not as smooth as he is used to, landing just 47 percent of his first serves and had three double faults. This was Nadal’s second career win over the South African qualifier, with the first in 2003 at a Challenger event in France.

Next up for the Spaniard will be Sweeting, world no. 116, whom he has already faced this season. The two met for the first time in the second round of the Australian Open, and Nadal had no trouble getting past him. Sweeting lost in straight sets against the world no. 1, (6-2, 6-1, 6-1).  The American got the win over 27th seeded Juan Monaco (6-4, 6-1) in the second round of the BNP, but what lies ahead may not be as easy for the qualifying American.
