Wimbledon 2008 Roger Federer Third Round Betting Odds Day 5: It seems that with every day that’s goes by at the All England Club, the path to Roger Federer’s 6th consecutive Wimbledon seems to get easier, as high ranked players drop by the waste side. The first huge upset in London occurred a few days ago when the 3rd seeded Novak Djokovic was defeated in dominating fashion by an old rival of his. Thursday, another two high profile players bit the dust... or should I say, the grass.  In Wimbledon 2008: Roger Federer is a -10000 third round betting odds favorite against Marc Gicquel +2500. On Thursday, two more household names made early exits from London: it was two Americans for the price of one, as the 6th seeded Andy Roddick, and the 9th seeded James Blake, were eliminated by unknown/unranked players in huge ML upsets. This only makes the Federer’s road to 6, a heck of a lot easier. It seems as though, the only player that has truly won his first two matches with easy, has been Federer. On Thursday the Spanish “Torero”, Rafael Nadal, found himself a bit of a stiff competitor in 19-year old Ernest Gulbis. Rafa got off to a slow start, as Gulbis took the first set.
