2010 Wimbledon Odds: Petra Kvitova vs Kaia Kanepi: Petra Kvitova [-170 ML] has defeated Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki to reach the quarterfinals at Wimbledon. She will now play Estonia’s Kaia Kanepi [+130 ML] for a chance at the semi-finals at the All- England Club. The Czech sent Wozniacki home on Monday, as she took complete command of the match winning 6-2, 6-4.
Wozniacki looked out of sync from beginning to end, and ultimately could not keep up with the up and coming Czech. Kvitova defeated the world’s No. 4 player in only 46 minutes. “So I play very well on the grass,” Kvitova said, “and I play very fast. So she didn’t play her game, so maybe that’s why was quick.”
The world No. 62 has made two appearances prior to this year’s Wimbledon, and for both went home in the first rounds. But it seems as though someone has been putting in some work, as she had 23 winners compared to just four by the third seed. The young Czech did not allow her Wozniacki a single break point.
Both players had 11 unforced errors. Kvitova now faces Kaia Kanepi of Estonia, who beat Klara Zakopalova 6-2, 6-4 in the fourth round.
