Wimbledon 2008 Serena Williams and Venus Williams: another day in London goes by, and another top seeded player gets eliminated. This time it was the No.2 player in the world, Jelena Jankovic who was sent home packing before even reaching the quarterfinals of the Championships Wimbledon.

On Tuesday morning both Serena Williams and Venus Williams will be in action to kick off this quarterfinals round from the All England Club. SBGglobal.com has both Serena’s and Venus Williams’ betting odds for the quarterfinals.

Tuesday will be a historic day in England, as this will be the first time ever in the Open era (1968) that a top-4 seeded player is not in contention for the Wimbledon title.

All that remains so far are just 8: two Russians, a Czech, a Chinese, a Thai, a Pole, and (of course), the Williams sisters (Venus and Serena).

On Tuesday, 4-time winner and defending Wimbledon champion Venus Williams will kick off her quarterfinal round against the Thai, Tamarine Tanasugarn. Venus Williams is a –800 betting odds favorite to beat Tamarine Tanasugarn (+500).

Meanwhile the other Williams sister, Serena, will be taking on Agnieszka Radwanska. On this quarterfinal round, Serena Williams is a –350 betting odds favorite to defeat Agnieszka Radwanska (+270).

In other Wimbledon 2008 quarterfinal action:

Nicole Vaidisova (-150) vs. Jie Zheng(+120)

Elena Dementieva (-130) vs. Nadia Petrova (Ev)
