Rafael Nadal vs Robin Soderling Wimbledon 2010 Betting Odds: Wednesday at Wimbledon brings a must-see match, when world No.1 Rafael Nadal [-175 ML] faces off once again against Robin Soderling [+135 ML] live from the All England Club. Who would have thought these two would be competing so soon after their latest clash at Roland Garros, where Rafael Nadal was crowned world No. 1 after defeating Soderling.
The two will be meeting for the fifth time in the last 14 months, their seventh match over all. Nadal leads 4-2 in their head to heads, with one of those wins being on grass at their controversial 2007 Wimbledon third round match.
The Swede recently defeated another Spaniard, David Ferrer in the fourth round. The match was up and down for the two, but in the end Soderling landed on top with the 6-2, 5-7, 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 victory.
As for Nadal, he reserved his spot at the quarters after defeating France’s Paul Henri Mathieu 6-4, 6-2, 6-2. When asked about his thoughts on meeting Soderling again he said:
"His game is good on every surface but it is probably even more difficult to stop him here, because the ball goes faster and it is going to be very difficult to return and difficult to stop him from the baseline," explained Nadal. "I think he's playing with big confidence and a big serve. So he's playing great. It is going to be a very difficult match for me I think. But hopefully for him, too."
