On Wednesday afternoon, Novak Djokovic [-250 ML] will be the sports betting odds favorite to defeat his US Open Quarterfinals underdog opponent Fernando Verdasco [+180 ML] of Spain. This showdown is scheduled to get under way this afternoon following the Yanina Wickmayer vs. Kateryna Bondarenko match on Arthur Ashe Stadium.

On Monday night, moments after Novak Djokovic defeated Czech Radek Stepanek, the Serb one again displayed for the New York fans one of his best impersonations yet. After the match concluded and his opponent was long gone, Djokovic began screaming and accusing an empty umpire chair of totally blowing a call (a la John McEnroe): "You Cannot Be Serious".

That’s when McEnroe himself came storming onto the court with racket in hand, like a relief pitcher runs out of the bullpen to make an appearance. Then, the two exchanged impersonations of each other, and even played a few points against one another late in Flushing Meadows.

"Everyone has a different personality," Djokovic said. "I like to entertain the crowd and that makes me happy in a way as well… What I've done in 2007 with those impersonations and tonight playing with Johnny Mac, I think that's what the crowd wants, especially in these hours. I think these night matches are very special."
